What! I can't hear you, I have a popcorn seed in my ear!

 Yes, it is true.  A few days ago, Johan told Kip that he put a "bean" in his ear.  Kip made a few attempts at getting it out and then decided we needed to call the doctor.  I headed to Southdale Pediatrics with Johan to have them take a look.  After several attempts and an unhappy Johan, they decided to send us to the ER.  While we were there, Johan was given some medicine to sedate him a bit and then they wrapped him up like a burrito and got to work.  Poor kid was kicking and pleading and crying and basically a sweaty mess.  On his fourth tool, the doctor popped it out and we learned that the bean was a popcorn seed.  Johan was pretty tired at this point (it was 11:00pm and he goes to bed at 7:00pm most days).  We headed home with a popcorn seed in a jar to show his siblings.  I don't think he'll be putting anything in his ear EVER again!  :)
