More t-ball

Gus and Johan are loving t-ball and they have a lot of FANS! Their cousins, Addy and Lars, are on the team, so it is truly a family affair. My aunt Heather and uncle Gary took good care of Anja during the practice. Addy, Lars, Gus and Johan enjoyed popsicles after t-ball!

i heart faces - week 25: Wedding Bells

The theme for this week at i heart faces is "Wedding Bells." I am guessing that most of the pictures this week will come from summer weddings, but this one took place in January in cold Minnesota! The bride and groom were seeing each other for the first time. I love the warmth of the photograph even though it was snowing outside!

Birthday Party Day

Gus had two birthday parties today. Reece turned 6 and had a very fun Lego party. Each kid built a Lego car and then they raced. One of the little boys kept saying "Giddy Up" when he wanted his car to go fast -- it was adorable. Will turned 5 years and had a "moon walk" jumper at his house. Gus and Johan got out a lot of energy there! We feel very blessed that Gus has such nice buddies. Happy Birthday, Reece (above) and Will (below)!

Anja is 11 months

Anja is 11 months today. It is a little bittersweet for me. I'm enjoying watching her grow and learn and develop, but I'm a little sad that the months of babyhood are fading away. I have really enjoyed having a sweet baby around these last few months. Anja is now crawling and exploring and following her brothers around everywhere! We love our little Anja P!

Corn on the Cob

Nothing says summer more than corn on the cob. We LOVE corn on the cob at our house. We were able to pick up some really good corn while we were in Grand Rapids. The kids all enjoyed it!

Summertime at the Cabin

We had a great few days at Sugar Lake. The kids loved swimming and playing at the beach and spending lots of time outside. The water fights and goggles were highlights! Anja did great in the water!

Itzi and Bitzi

I took photos of Anja wearing clothes that were designed by my good friend, Andrea. She has been sewing for a long time and has some really creative, cute designs. I really enjoyed taking the pictures for her new etsy website. Etsy is a site where you handmade products are sold! Take a look for yourself and see more cute pictures of Anja! :)

i heart faces - week #24 ADULTS

The theme for this week at i heart faces is "Let's Hear it for the Boys!" My husband is truly a boy at heart! This picture captures him being silly and enjoying life. He is an incredible dad and spends a lot of time with our kiddos - playing baseball, making up silly songs and just hanging out. He's the best dad and we LOVE him!! :)

Just for Fun - Photo Contest

T-ball at Morris Park

Johan and Gus had their first t-ball game at Morris Park. We were thrilled to find out that we have the same coach as last year (Coach Aaron). Aaron is a fellow math teacher - I supervised him at the U of M. He is a great coach!

We also had very special visitors - Mrs. Anna Maria and her kids, Elizabeth and Issac (we missed you, Olivia!!). They came to cheer on Gus and Johan. Mrs. Anna Maria was Gus' teacher for our Bible class when he was 2 and 3 years old. She was Johan's teacher last year. We are so blessed to have had her as a teacher! It was great to hang out with her and her kids!

One more Chicago detail....Monopoly!

I haven't played Monopoly in years, so it was fun to pull out the board and pass GO again. I made a lucky deal and won the game with my orange Monopoly. Kip went bankrupt landing on my property.

Did you know that New York Avenue is landed on more frequently than any other space? I read "How to win Monopoly" when I was in junior high or high school and that is one fact that I remember. A little competitive...yeah, I know.

Anja's first ice cream

While we were in Chicago, Anja enjoyed her first ice cream. Our friend, Margaret, fed her some bites and she ate from my cone. As you can see from the photo, she enjoyed the treat!

Anja in CHICAGO!

We dropped the boys with Gramma and Grampa Krasean in Forest Lake this past weekend and headed to Chicago with Anja. We stayed with our friends, Dave and Margaret. Dave was a college friend and roommate of Kip. Anja got to see her first ever baseball game and it was at Wrigley Field against the Twins (Twins won! Woo hoo!). She did great even though she napped through a few innings.

The theme for this week at "i heart faces" is sepia. I am really trying to take new pictures for these contests, so I can learn more about photography and practice with my new lens. I took this photo of my friend's daughter the other week. I really like the sepia tone with her beautiful, brown eyes. She's a cutie! :)

i heart faces - week #23 adults

The theme for this week at "i heart faces" is sepia. I took this photo of my brother-in-law and my husband (in the background) this past Easter. They are ten years apart in age, but they look a lot alike (in my opinion) and they are great friends. I think this photo captures both of their personalities really well. My brother-in-law is a very easy-going guy and he is an incredible uncle. He spends a lot of time hanging out with our kids and we appreciate it. He is also a great dad to his own 1-year old son.
