Twins Fest

Twins Fest 2009 was a good time for all! We enjoyed meeting T.C., eating Dome Dogs, practice hitting, learning more about the new stadium and having Papa with us for the adventure. Instead of hitting off of a tee, Gus got to try using the "Hit Zone," which suspends the ball in the air (think fancy leaf blower). You can see one at Hit Zone. Check out the short video of Gus giving it a try!!

I won! Woo hoo!

As some of you know, we use cloth diapers with our kids. I am a regular reader and contest enterer on this blog:

I won some BlueBerry Minky Training Pants! Hopefully, Johan will want to use them soon! :) I'm so excited!

3 in 1: A Success Story

Well, as many of you know, we have a two bedroom house, which means we have one "kid" room. We finally feel like the boys are situated in their bunk beds and Anja is starting to sleep longer. For the first time (last night), we had a huge success. They went to bed (all 3) at 7pm and we didn't hear from them again until 6am. Woo hoo! It was a good night.....we're hoping for many more!

Minneapolis School Fair

Kip and I attended the Minneapolis Public Schools Fair downtown on Saturday. Gus won't start kindergarten until the fall of 2010, but we were curious about our options. We talked to parents, teachers and a few principals. At this point, we are interested in Hale/Field, Barton and Dowling, but that could change in a year. It was fun to learn more about the schools and we feel very positive about the schools Gus, Johan and Anja could attend someday!

Maren and Mike's Wedding

Kip and I went to a very fun wedding yesterday! My friend (and former math student), Maren, was married to Mike. It was a beautiful ceremony and a fun reception at the Calhoun Beach Club.

Kip is my husband and a great dad to our three kiddos.  Kip loves baseball, R.E.M., and comic books (in that order).  His is a huge Minnesota Twins fans and he can hardly wait to watch games in the new stadium next season.  Kip loves the outdoors and is always eager to head to northern Minnesota for a weekend away.  He is fun-loving guy who really enjoys life and laughs often.  He teaches math for Minneapolis Public Schools.

I am the writer of this blog.  I'm a busy mom of 3 kids who I adore.  I love spending time with my family, but I do have a few favorite things I do when I have a few minutes.  At the moment, my favorite hobbies are photography, broomball, and blogging.  I also enjoy reading, jogging, knitting, and singing in my church gospel choir, but I'm not finding much time to do these things at the moment.  I teach math online through Minneapolis Public Schools, so I am always trying to learn more about technology.

Gus is one silly guy.  He is five years old and loves all things active - baseball, soccer, sledding and running around!  Gus loves to play games.  His current favorite is Uno, but he also enjoys Sequence, Guess Who and Husker Du.  He enjoys spending time with his friends and spending time with his family.  He loves trips to the cabin and to the hunting land with his dad.

Johan is our sweet and sensitive little boy.  He is three years old and probably most enjoys playing with his brother and little sister.  Johan loves to play his guitar, sing and play air keyboard while listening to rock music.  Johan also really enjoys playing t-ball, soccer and football.  He is also known as the "most egg eater" in our household.

Anja is our baby - even though she is a year and a half now!  Anja seems to be our most extroverted child.  She loves being around people and she is a very happy girl.  She loves playing with her brother's toys (duplo blocks) and reading books.
